Fulham, Stoke City and Sunderland star threatens to quit Hamburg

South American midfielder locked in dispute over wages

Fulham, Sunderland and Stoke City target Tomas Rincon has threatened to leave Hamburg unless they increase their offer.

The Venezuela midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to England.

Rincon reportedly wants an increase in his wages, but Hamburg manager Oliver Kreuzer appears unwilling to increase the offer.

“I love Hamburger SV. But I will not accept this offer I have received,” said Rincon. “I know all about my value to the market and if we cannot agree, I will have to go.”

Kreuzer said: “Tomas Eduardo Rincon has been handed a good contract offer. I don't have a queasy conscience. Either he is accepting it. Or he does not.”
