Raheem Sterling has been told he can go out on loan to a championship club with Derby County an obvious destination for a simple reason.
A potential new twist in the Will Hughes transfer saga could happen, with Raheem Sterling being brought in as possible bait to reel in the ‘Albino Iniesta’
According to reports Liverpool want to wait until January to loan the talented youngster out, but will try and entice Derby into a deal before hand, as they try and gain an advantage for Derby’s midfielder Will Hughes.
The 18-year-old winger burst onto the scene at Liverpool and was widely regarded as their brightest talent, however things have recently cooled on the teenager and some Liverpool fans have been found criticising the young player. A loan deal outside the Premier League could take the pressure off Sterling in several ways and with Steve McClaren widely regarded as one of the best coaches in world football a move could benefit both Liverpool, and Derby.
Much like the deal that saw Wisdom to Derby, there is a possible connection behind the potential hospitality surrounding the two clubs as they look to carve out a deal for Derby’s most talented young player in decades. Fortunately for Liverpool they have the quality and depth to pepper the East Midlands side up with good young players.
Raheem Sterling would be an incredible coup for the Championship side as they look to push on for a top 6 finish for the first time in 7 years.
The player has 36 appearances for the first team and an England cap to boot, it’s just not the type of pedigree you expect to find knocking around in the second division, so whilst it may have long-term repercussions for the The Rams, it could also make the difference for them this season.
For Liverpool though, it could be an exciting chance to get 3 potential future first team players on the pitch creating a partnership at an early age.
