Robbed: WBA fans - Chelsea penalty a disgrace

Stamford Bridge Outside

West Bromwich Albion fans take to Twitter to express their outrage over that last minute Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

'The penalty was awarded by Andre Marriner in the fourth and final minute of stoppage-time for what appeared a relatively innocuous coming-together between Ramires and Reid'.

BBC News

Chelsea's 'Ramires bustled into the area one last time and tumbled under vague contact from Steven Reid. The clock read 93 minutes and 41 seconds when Andre Marriner, after a pause for effect, pointed belatedly to the spot'.

The Guardian

At the very last history was snatched away from West Bromwich Albion. In the fourth minute of injury time, Ramires went down under a soft challenge'.

The Telegraph

'Eden Hazard popped home the spot-kick to net Chelsea a late point and leave former Blues coach Steve Clarke fuming'.

Daily Mirror

Here's some Twitter musings:

'I hate Ramires. Blatant dive. He was terrible all game. WBA have been blatantly robbed. Plastic team, plastic fans. Pathetic all around'.

'Typical situation in the Prem. The bigger teams getting the lucky decisions. WBA robbed. Disgraceful'.

'Gutted!! Didn't look a penalty from where I was!! Everyone except #Chelsea fans said it wasn't!! #FeelRobbed #WBA

'Absolute disgrace, the players and the fans were so good #wba'

'This is where football goes wrong. Wba fans have payed £47 for a ticket today, only to be cheated at the end. Disgrace'.
