Reports from Sportmediaset claim that Inter chief Massimo Moratti has called up Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and told him to leave Inter starlet Pedro Delgado alone.
There have been suggestions over the last couple of weeks that Mourinho may return to San Siro to pounce for 16-year-old left winger Delgado, who is seen as a great talent for the future.
The Nerazzurri spent two years tracking Delgado, who caught the eye of scout and former Chelsea player Pierluigi Casiraghi, before bringing him to Milan from Portuguese second division side Portimonense.
So Inter are understandably reluctant to let the up and coming star leave the club despite Mourinho's alleged interest in him.
According to Sportmediaset, Inter's Moratti contacted his former coach Mourinho to let him know that Delgado won't be joining him at Stamford Bridge.
Moratti and Mourinho had a very close working relationship at Inter, helped by the success that the Special One enjoyed.
While Mourinho is known for his persistence in chasing transfer targets, respect for his former boss may prevent him attempting to lure Delgado.
New Inter owner Erick Thohir is also unlikely to let go of Delgado given his public declarations that he wants to develop the strongest possible youth structure at the club.
