Could snapping up Fernando Llorente from Juventus be what it takes to bring the title to The Emirates this season?
Arsenal are top of the league, and they certainly deserve to be there after an incredible start to the season.
But if they are going to win the Premier League they could still do with bringing in at least one more player.
So if they were going to do just that, sign a player that will win them the league, who should it be?
For me, it is a player they are currently being linked with heavily in the press - Spanish international Fernando Llorente.
Juventus chiefs denied this week that he would be going anywhere, predicting he had an excellent future ahead of him in Turin. But I has certainly not been an excellent start to his Bianconeri career.
He came into Serie A off the back of a season where he was an outcast at Athletic Bilbao, because of his obvious desire to leave the club and seek a new challenge.
With that in mind he has struggled initially with Juve, but recently showed glimpses of his ability for the side.
Arsenal need to improve their striking options, which was made painfully obvious when Nicklas Bendtner had to fill in for Olivier Giroud in the Capital One Cup - and he toiled against a Chelsea ‘B’ team.
Giroud may be fighting fit now, but eventually he will miss a game, that is inevitable - and when he does they currently have to rely on Bendtner or Park Chu-Young in the role before switching their attentions to youngsters.
Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott return soon, but Wenger clearly prefers the German international out-wide, and Walcott’s pace has been missing from the flank.
Signing Llorente permanently in January may seem a stretch to far for the imagination - but bringing him in on a loan deal is certainly not beyond the realms of rational thinking.
Juventus may consider a good option to give him some first-team football (although how much he would get at The Emirates remains up for debate) without it affecting their own performances in the highly competitive Serie A this season. They said this week he was not for sale, but made no mention of a temporary switch.
A striker is what they need, and a loan deal is perfect for both Llorente and Juventus, not to forget Arsenal.
And it might just be the final piece on the title winning jigsaw.
