Lazio made hard work of beating Cypriots Apollon Limassol last night and club President Claudio Lotito was scathing in his assessment of the Biancocelesti's performance.
It has been an arduous campaign for Lazio so far. As their city rivals Roma enjoyed a record-breaking start, the blue half of Rome struggled to get going.
There has been almost constant speculation for the last month that coach Vladimir Petkovic will be axed by the demanding Lotito, but Europa League qualification seemed to be his saving grace.
However, despite getting the result they needed last night courtesy of a brace from Sergio Floccari, Lazio's chief was far from singing his side's praises.
"I'm happy with the three points but I can't celebrate a performance like that," Lotito told Mediaset Premium.
"It's not acceptable for a team that want to reach a certain level to play like that. We missed lots of chances and seemed to lack some clarity in our play that made us not seem united.
"We made life difficult for ourselves and seemed to suffer from lapses of concentration on occasion."
Lazio are second in Group J, four points behind Turkish side Trabzonspor but with a comfortable four-point cushion from Limassol with just two games remaining.
