A round up of key news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Edinson Cavani is reportedly unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea were linked with the Uruguayan forward last summer and reports suggest they are one of several clubs ready to pounce for his transfer.

French source Le10Sport says Cavani is unhappy about the attention Zlatan Ibrahimovic receives at the club and the idea that he has to play in the Swede’s shadow.

Real Madrid star Luka Modric has revealed Chelsea tried to sign him.

The former Tottenham midfielder has admitted that Chelsea made an approach to sign him back when Carlo Ancelotti was in charge at Stamford Bridge.

“Ancelotti wanted me. A year ago in PSG and 2011 in Chelsea. But then Andre Villas-Boas came and Tottenham did not want to give me up,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has refused to be drawn on comments about Eden Hazard.

The Chelsea midfielder was dropped from the side for the match against FS Schalke for missing a training session last Monday.

“I don’t have an opinion – Everyone behaves how they want – What happens in clubs doesn’t concern me and I don’t want anyone to get involved in my affairs either,” he told the press.
