Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has tipped his hat in the general direction of Wojciech Szczesny.
The Pole has been one of the constants in an Arsenal side which continues to go from strength to strength, leading the Premier League and making an impression in the Champions League ahead of the knock out stage.
Plenty have questioned Szczesny’s quality over the last couple of seasons as there were signs of inconsistency which led to rumours and stories suggesting the club would be going after a variety of goalkeepers last summer.
There are even still some suggestions that Arsenal will try and sign Hamburg’s Rene Adler when the January transfer window opens.
However, the main question is do they really need to?
Szczesny has proven to be very effective so far this season and as Lineker admits, you can’t argue that he’s been one of the stand out goalkeepers in all formats for the Gunners.
