Mourinho rules out move for Dortmund star, MK Dons boss slams rumours on Chelsea loan star

A round up of key news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Jose Mourinho has ruled out making a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski.

Mourinho says it’s obvious who the forward will join when his contract expires with the German giants.

“I think this story is a book that was written a long time ago. Everybody knows how the story ends. It surprised me that he was even associated with us, it's that obvious,” he told Sky Sports.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard says this season is completely different to Jose Mourinho’s first spell at the club.

Chelsea are one of the sides currently five points off of Arsenal in first place and Lampard says the competition for the title is tougher than ever.

“People need to realise it’s a different scenario. If you can’t see that then you are not really seeing straight. It is completely different from when Jose was here before,” said the midfielder.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has denied rumours that Patrick Bamford will be sent on loan to a Championship team.

The on loan Chelsea star has been in good form for the League One side and there were reports that Jose Mourinho was looking to recall the forward and send him to a higher level side.

“I've spoken with Chelsea and that is fabricated nonsense. Nothing has come from Chelsea at all, they don't know where the story has come from,” he told MK News.
