Cosy - Arsenal duo watch Dortmund victory from the sofa

Benik Afobe and Jack Wilshere took in the win against Borussia Dortmund in comfort, as they both recover from injury.

If you weren’t serious about the credentials of Arsenal success this season before, you should be now - after The Gunners travelled to one of Europe’s most intimidating atmospheres and returned triumphant.

Arsenal defeated Borussia Dortmund 1-0 in their own backyard last night - with yet another goal from the unstoppable Aaron Ramsey proving the difference between the two sides on the night.

The result now puts Arsenal top of the group, level on points with Napoli, while Dortmund find themselves perilously teetering on the precipice of Champions League survival - with Marseille the comparative whipping boys at the root of the table.

It was an entertaining game last night, and would have made especially good watching if you were an Arsenal fan - let alone an Arsenal player.

Well two players who did not travel with the team certainly seemed to be enjoying the fixture.

Jack Wilshere has sustained another knock to his poorly ankle, a knock that could see him miss the Manchester United game this weekend. Benik Afobe has recently returned from a knee injury, but is not necessarily a member of the first-team picture anyhow - so with that in mind neither travelled to Westfalia.

So they got together and watched the game as a duo, supporting their team-mates from a sofa, along with what looks like a feline friend.

And we have no doubt they were left very pleased with the result, even if the cat did not look that enamoured.

Perhaps it is a closet Dortmund fan!
