A round up of the key news stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.
Tottenham are likely to rest goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for the Europa League game against FC Sheriff.
Lloris suffered a bad knock to the head in last weekend’s game at Everton and could be held back for the weekend.
The French goalkeeper was given the all-clear from any serious problem following a CT scan.
Tottenham will face competition from Turkish club Besiktas if they decide to move for Juventus’ Andrea Pirlo.
Pirlo has been linked with a move away from the Serie A champions, creating several rumours over his potential destination.
Turkish source Fotomac has suggested Besiktas will offer Pirlo a contract of just under £2 million to try and make the deal happen.
Spurs are hunting a left-back as Andre Villas-Boas is forced to currently use players out of position in that role.
There were links between Spurs and the player last summer before United failed to a deal for the Portuguese on the final day of the transfer window.
