Mesut Ozil sends Twitter message to Arsenal fans after Dortmund win

Ozil Arsenal 2

Arsenal won 1-0 in Dortmund through an Aaron Ramsey goal.

Arsenal have beaten Borussia Dortmund 1-0 at the Westfalenstadion, climbing above the Germans in their Champions League group.

A second half Aaron Ramsey goal assisted by Olivier Giroud was enough to give them the win they desperately wanted, to pay Dortmund back for the 2-1 loss at the Emirates a week ago.

It saw Mesut Ozil return to Germany as an Arsenal player for the first time, and he will certainly return to England with fond memories.

He did not provide a cutting edge during the match, putting in a rare poor passing performance, completing just 71 per cent of his passes, creating one goalscoring opportunity.

Not that he looks in any way disappointed at what was a crucial win for the Gunners.

Here is what he had to say on Twitter to fans after the match, thanking them for their support.

The thanks will be mutual. Arsenal have now won away against both of last season's Champions League finalists.

Even if they lose to United at the weekend, surely the doubters can no longer remain over the team's quality and mental resolve.

Let us know your reaction to the performance...
