Arsenal, Everton target linked with French heavyweights

Saido Berahino

West Bromich Albions £850-a-week star Saido Berahino linked with financial superpower Monaco.

West Brom’s newest gem Saido Berhaino has been at the heart of transfer talk already this season, with Arsenal and Everton already being linked to the striker. Despite that the rumours have been dismissed by the West Midlands club as they look to divert attention from their most promising player.

Monaco are looking to build a long-term legacy in France after being backed by Russian billionaires, and they look to be interested in for the young English striker. They certainly have enough will-power and financial clout to land the 20-year-old, and West Brom would find it difficult to hang onto him with such interest.

Berahino has burst onto the scene for West Brom this season and put away his second ever Premier League goal on Saturday, making it 6 goals in all competitions for the season.

Roy Hodgson has apparently been keeping a close eye on the striker as he looks to put the finishing touches on his world cup squad and could receive a call-up for the upcoming friendlies, which would be a great testament to the player’s ability.

Monaco undoubtedly is just one of the clubs in a very long line that would be interested in the striker that earns JUST £850-a-week. West Brom are obviously quite keen to nail down the promising talent, who they say is close to signing a new contract but, according to reports, he rejected £6,150-a-week pay rise from the Premier League club and could look to run down his contract to search out a much more lucrative move, which Monaco could certainly offer.

Do you think Berahino could move on sooner rather than later?
