Arsenal go into their clash with Borussia Dortmund well aware of the task on their hands, with the home side in superb form, winning their last four games in a row.
The most recent of those came in a 6-1 Friday night win over Stuttgart, which saw Robert Lewandowski netted a hat-trick.
Ahead of their midweek encounter, Mesut Ozil has been speaking to German newspaper Bild, and says the loss to Dortmund still grates him.
"There is no sting, but every defeat annoys me. Home defeats especially. And in the Champions League (more) than ever. We were about to turn the game around. But Dortmund have made the second goal."
He went onto jokily suggest that by beating Arsenal, Dortmund should be automatically installed as Bundesliga title favourites.
"Who wins against us, is naturally one of the title favourites. Sure, why not? Dortmund was already a strong team in the past season. And my impression is that they are better than ever!"
Ozil also spoke about his enjoyment at Arsenal, quizzed specifically about playing alongside former Dortmund star Rosicky.
"Honestly, Arsenal makes everything fun. The coach, the players, living in London - I feel really comfortable there. And the direct passing of Rosicky is there also..."
Rosicky and Ozil are a dream combination for the footballing purist, it's just a shame Rosicky is not in his mid-20s and injury free, for they could be a superb combination for years to come.
In the short-term, the pair are expected to link up in midweek with Jack Wilshere ruled out, and with Dortmund likely to show the pair extra respect, look for the duo to up their games accordingly.
Are you encouraged by the fact Ozil is upset by the previous loss?
