Thorgan Hazard contributes directly to more goals than anyone else in Europe so far this season.
Perhaps not - but after an excellent season out on loan in 2012-13 for the lad you have to admit he is looking every bit a Premier League player in the making.
Thorgan signed for Zulte-Waregem on loan at the start of last season and at that time nobody would have been able to predict the success that was to come for both the player and the club.
Unfancied and unfashionable the side finished second in the league stage of the Belgian Pro League and to top off his season he also received his first ever call-up to the Belgian national team.
This season, despite a so far disappointing European campaign, the side are once again challenging in Belgium - and Hazard has been at the heart of it all once again.
Recently, he bagged a goal and an assist against KRC Genk to take his tally to nine goals and nine assists across all competitions this season.
Fans are tight to gush about his current form, but at the start of the weekend they were given even more reason to be excited.
Because the Belgian press have calculated that he is the ‘most effective’ player in all of Europe.
Belgian paper Het Laatste Nieuws, who actually only attribute him with eight assists this campaign, calculate he has been directly involved with more goals than anyone in Europe so far this season - with a grand total of 17.
Even after a fairly quiet game for him against KV Mechelen in a 2-2 draw he is still top of the pile.
He leads the way on 17 while Premier League target Kostas Mitroglou, who scored against Panathinaikos yesterday, is second on 16.
Chelsea fans must be really excited to get him back in the summer.
