€15m Arsenal and Tottenham target isn't even wanted by his own fans

Alexandre Pato may be wanted by the North London duo ... but the fans at Corinthians would happily see him leave.

Ever since bursting onto the scene with electrifying performances at Internacional as a youngster Alexandre Pato has been tipped for stardom.

AC Milan invested a sensational €24 million in 2007 for the transfer of this talented youngster and after scoring on his debut against Napoli the future was supposed to be nothing but bright.

He has gone on to score important goals in big matches. Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Barcelona can all vouch for his obvious talents. However his time with the club turned sour last season.

On the pitch his performances dipped, while off the pitch his image was tarnished by reports of constant partying and a relationship with Barbara Berlusconi, yes the daughter of Milan owner Silvio, he certainly courted much controversy for one so young.

So he made the move to Corinthians in January, for a fee of €15 million, and things started well - with a goal on his debut.

Now he is being linked with a move away, as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly look into his services. In fact, Pato has even stated he rejected the overtures of Spurs this summer.

And why not? 24-years-old, Brazilian international, can play across the front-line - he is the perfect signing.

Plus, the Corinthians fans don’t even want him.

According to a poll with the clubs fans, they would quite like to see him go - voting him second behind new-boy Ibson as players they ‘would like to see leave the club this January’.

The fans are said to be upset with his apparently lazy performances, and they also feel he has no affiliation with the club, and therefore lacks the passion necessary to play for the club.

Pato is reportedly hoping to make it into the Brazilian World Cup squad, but with his current form and lack of popularity at his current club, there is certainly scope for the North London duo to make a move for the player.

If they can handle the likely bother that will follow him.
