Rudi Garcia was a happy man after Roma extended their lead at the top of Serie A and continued their perfect start to the season with a 1-0 win over bottom side Chievo.
Marco Borriello was the hero for a depleted Roma side who were without Francesco Totti, Gervinho and the suspended Maicon.
Struggling Chievo put up an impressive fight at the Stadio Olimpico before alleged Manchester United target Miralem Pjanic crossed for Borriello to pull off a diving header from six yards.
Roma's win makes them the first side ever to win their opening 10 Serie A games and restores a five-point lead over Napoli at the top of the table.
"I feel like we have 27 magicians in this squad and we saw evidence of that again today," coach Garcia told Sky after the game.
"The magic of Roma is that everyone gives everything on the field. Chievo don't deserve to be bottom of the table - they played really well and played as a team.
"I had predicted that this would be a difficult game for us and I wasn't wrong but the important thing was to get the result and make it 10 out of 10 given that we had seen Juventus and Napoli win and Inter and Fiorentina slip up.
The fixtures keep coming thick and fast at this stage of the Serie A season and Roma must immediately prepare to face Torino away this weekend.
"It's great to have made history but we don't have much time to enjoy it," Garcia insisted.
"We have a day less than Torino to recuperate and every minute is important, but I'm very happy to see the fans' joy."
