Barcelona beat Celta Vigo 3-0 earlier this week and Cesc Fabregas admitted that it was nice to see his side back at their clinical best.
The former Arsenal captain netted in the second half to round off an all-action performance for the Blaugrana and the midfielder was delighted with his team’s creative spark against Luis Enrique’s men last night.
'In some games we haven’t been clinical enough in attack, but today the goals went in,' he told reporters.
'What’s important is creating chances and scoring goals. We put in a complete performance. We played well and were compact. If we press high up people say we leave spaces at the back. It's down to us to choose what we have to do.'
The Barca man also denied making an inappropriate gesture as he celebrated one of his two goals. 'I celebrated normally,' he insisted. 'I jumped up and I don’t think I did anything out of the ordinary.'
Fabregas has returned three goals and six assists thus far this season. Barcelona play Espanyol later this evening, Friday.
