Lukas Podolski has just purchased a 'lodge' to be placed in the East Stand of his beloved FC Koln home ground.
Lukas Podolski threatened to get an Arsenal tattoo one day just months after arriving at the club from his beloved 1. FC Koln in Germany.
Born in Poland but raised in and around Cologne - he is a lifelong fan of the club and they were indeed his boyhood club.
When he moved back to the team in 2009 after three years with Bayern Munich it came as a shock considering their lowly status - it was perhaps comparable to Craig Bellamy moving to Cardiff City.
However the fact is, he truly loves this club, and he already has their emblem tattooed on his body.
The other week he went back to visit the club during the international break, and the recently returned to training German international might have been discussing what has been revealed in the German media over the past 24 hours.
Podolski has now bought his own box at the home of Koln, the Rhein Energy Stadion.
It is actually being referred to as a ‘lodge’ and it will be 72- square feet large in the east stand of the ground - at a cost of €140k.
It will open in February next year, have 24 seats, and be adorned with memorabilia from the career of Koln’s favourite son.
The lodge will of course be available to rent, with all proceeds going to the club, and the sort of activities you can get up to in the new hideaway were confirmed by the CEO of the company behind the build, Hans Ruttenenstrasse:
"The interest will be huge. Lukas Podolski is the absolute sympathetic figure with a full commitment to the 1 FC Cologne. You will be able to rent the lodge to watch the matches of Arsenal in the Premier League there or to play an original Playstation of Lukas Podolski’s."
I don’t know about you, but the next time I am in Cologne, I might have to pop by and have a look.
