Oussama Assaidi scored a superb goal in the League Cup.
They made an impossibly hard job of it, but Stoke City qualified for the League Cup quarter-finals.
Mark Hughes' men had taken on Championship side Birmingham at St Andrews, and took the lead on four separate occasions.
They were though repeatedly pegged back by a spirited home side, and after extra time the score stood at 4-4. Stoke eventually won on penalties, but may well reflect on how they did it the hard way.
One moment they will look back on and admire was the opening goal from Liverpool loanee Oussama Assaidi.
The Moroccan winger was making just his second start since making the season long move from Anfield, and will not have hurt his case for further opportunities.
