Midfielder has bags of experience but Redknapp only wants him for trial period because of the strength in depth already at QPR.
A former favourite at Liverpool, a successful player on loan at Arsenal and a Europa League winner with Chelsea, 33-year-old midfielder Yossi Benayoun has the background of an accomplished Premier League performer, however, the Isreali national team captain has been without a club since his contract with the Blues expired in the summer.
Benayoun had Championship options and it was reported that he would be keen to explore these in order to maintain fitness and participate in competitive football in order to keep his international ambitions alive.
Currently third in England's second tier, QPR have amassed 27 points from an available 36, having lost only once in their opening 12 games of the season, they also brag a number of players in central midfield who fans of the Premier League will be well accustomed to such as Niko Kranjcar and Joey Barton.
'Someone rang me about a week ago about him and I said I would be interested in having a look at him, but never heard no more,' said QPR manager Harry Redknapp, as quoted by Sky Sports recently, before adding: 'But he’s very similar to what we’ve got here. If you get injuries, you never know, do you?'
