All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted his side must win their crunch Premier League clash with Liverpool this weekend.

The clubs face off at The Emirates on Saturday evening, and The Gunners go into the game on the back of two home defeats, against Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea in the Champions League and League Cup respectively:

‘’It's difficult, but that's part of the season. We know the games. We have to respond well against Liverpool. We are in a strong position in the league and have a good opportunity at home, and we have to turn this round. Away from home we are very solid, but at home you know it is important and vital to win the big games.”

A couple of player reaction to the game now. Club captain Thomas Vermaelen was upset with the result. He feels that both of Chelsea’s goals were avoidable and that the result could easily have gone the other way.

Meanwhile, Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi simply feels that Chelsea were sharper:

"I think they were a bit sharper than us but the difficult thing was they scored first. We wanted to score as quickly as possible in the second half but after 65 minutes they scored so we were a bit thrown after that.’’

Arsenal are reportedly ready to join the race for another young Japanese starlet. 23-year-old Yoichiro Kakitani has scored 17 goals for Cerezo Osaka in the J-League and is also being target by Italian giants Inter Milan.

Two Arsenal starlets have made their comebacks from injury today. Benik Afobe, who has been out since February with a knee ligament injury - but he returned and scored in a 1-0 win against the Nike Academy at London Colney this afternoon.

Dan Crowley, the new arrival from Aston Villa in the summer, played his first game since September.

Arsenal are set to make a move for Alexandre Pato. Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be after the Brazilian, who only returned to Brazil from AC Milan in January.

He is however not expected to make a move.
