Agger has struggled to get back into the Liverpool side as Brendan Rodgers has started using his 3-5-2 formation, which is based around having three central defenders at the heart of the defence.
It’s something that former Liverpool player Mark Lawrenson recently said he should be very worried about.
Agger suffered an injury after an accident as he worked out in the gym and he’s not been able to force his way back into the side ahead of Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho after regaining his fitness, sitting on the bench for the club’s last four games.
His current situation at the club has prompted several suggestions that he could leave this winter, with several clubs already having been linked to him via a variety of sources.
Agger has been quite publicly linked with a move to Barcelona in the recent past with numerous examples of reports, which suggest he will be forced to consider his future at Anfield as he can’t get back into the team at present.
However, Liverpool fans can rest easy as he’s confirmed he’s not leaving, urging fans to stop speculating over his future.
The Dane has always maintained his commitment to the Liverpool cause and seems to be very determined to secure his starting role for the side when he is next thrown back into the starting line-up.
Please stop all the tweets about me leaving! I'm not going anywhere! Will be back in the team soon:) Y.N.W.A— Daniel Agger (@DanielAgger) October 29, 2013
