Former Liverpool player John Aldridge says he believes Luis Suarez will leave the club if they don’t finish in the top four. Suarez has been in superb form since he returned to the Liverpool starting eleven.
“Everything is going great at the moment but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fear we’ll lose Suárez next summer - If we get in the Champions League maybe he will sign a new contract,” he told the Liverpool Echo.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has cast doubt over a January exit for former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard has been linked with a return to Anfield but Ancelotti insists he remains an important player for Real Madrid, casting aside the idea of a winter transfer.

“Versatility can be another strong attribute to help my career. To gain experience, playing more than one position is good for me. I played most of my youth career at centre-back, so obviously that is where I feel most comfortable,” he told BBC Radio Derby.
