'Chelsea reserves wiped the floor' with 'embarrassing' Arsenal says ex-Blues assistant

Chelsea were truly dominant against an embarrassing Arsenal side, said Sky pundit Ray Wilkins.

Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at home in the League Cup on Tuesday night, the first time in 11 years the Gunners have failed to make the last eight of the competition.

Despite including stars like Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, the Gunners had just one shot on target.

Chelsea only had three on target themselves, but crucially scored with two of them through Spanish duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Juan Mata, one in each half.

SkySports pundit Ray Wilkins, a former Chelsea assistant manager, has criticised Arsenal's display and hailed his former teams.

"A Chelsea reserve team have wiped the floor with Arsenal, they haven't shown anything.

"Chelsea have been so superior to Arsenal tonight its almost been slightly embarrassing in how easily they have won."

It becomes Arsenal's second home defeat in succession, losing to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last week.

The ease with which Chelsea won will surely be of concern to Arsenal, but whether it was 'embarrassing' as Wilkins describes, or purely just disappointing for fans, is something which may be open to debate.

Arsenal fans what do you think? Was it just disappointing, or embarrassing?
