Balotelli in car crash

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has been involved in a car crash in the city of Brescia but reports indicate it was a minor incident.

There are reports from Italy that AC Milan marksman Mario Balotelli was involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon in Brescia.

It has been a tough few days for Balotelli, who agreed with Rossoneri directors to turn over a new leaf but then disappointed in his first outing with his new look as Milan fell 3-2 to Parma.

One of the concessions Balotelli is said to have made to Diavolo directors is to stop driving his Ferarri and it is reported that he was at the wheel of his Audi when he was involved in an accident in Brescia - his adopted childhood hometown.

Balotelli is said to have gone into the back of a car being driven by a Brescia resident who applied the brakes suddenly in front of him at around 4.30pm on Monday afternoon in the Lombardy city about 60 miles from Milan.

Reports of the incident from eyewitnesses say that the two drivers discussed the collision amicably before returning to their cars and going their separate ways. Very little damage is said to have been caused to either vehicle.

However, the news will be another frustration for Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola who has been vocal about the Italian press' constant hounding of his client. It seems it is impossible to keep the ex-Manchester City man out of the papers.

To round off a trying few days, it has also been confirmed that Super Mario will be fined around £1,700 for diving during the Stadio Tardini defeat in an attempt to win a penalty.
