A select round-up of morning news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…
Reports in Italy claim Tottenham have offered Andrea Pirlo a three-year deal to begin when his Juventus contract expires in the summer.
Given that the midfielder will be 35 by that point, the claims from Italian publication Calcio Mercato seem a little bizarre.
But it is being reported that Andre Villas-Boas and Franco Baldini are hopeful an agreement can be in place by January.
We will take this one with a pinch of salt, if only due to the length of the reported deal.
In other news, Michael Dawson has praised his side’s defensive record and says the players are enjoying their new “mean streak”.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Dawson said, “Shut-outs always make you feel better about doing your job.”
Spurs will be hoping to maintain that impressive form when they take on Hull City tomorrow afternoon.
