Manchester United target - 'It would be nice to play for Real'

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has admitted that he would be tempted by the prospect of playing for Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer, as David Moyes looked to make improvements to his midfield ahead of the new season.

Huge sums of money were floating around but Vidal has revealed he’s got eyes for one club, Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“It'd be nice to play for Real. We'll see what happens in the future,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

Real Madrid flexed their financial muscle over the summer to sign Gareth Bale, which shows they are capable of going after the most expensive transfers.

There have been reports that United offered around £100 million to sign Bale from Tottenham Hotspur so they have the resources to be competitive if Vidal’s availability becomes open in the future.

Reports from the summer suggested a fee in the region of £36-40 million for the Chilean international which United wouldn’t have a problem in paying.

Vidal has made a decent start to this season in Serie A with the Italian champions scoring three goals and providing three assists from eight games so far. He’ll definitely be one of the players Moyes has an eye on this winter and next summer, despite his stated desire to one day play for Real Madrid.
