Montella wants to avoid post-Juve hangover

Fiorentina are overwhelming favourites to beat Pandurii Targu Jiu but Vincenzo Montella warns that the Romanians are more of a threat away from home.

After last Sunday's heroic comeback win over Juventus there is an air of confidence surrounding Fiorentina, but coach Vincenzo Montella is urging against complacency ahead of this evening's Europa League match with Pandurii Targu Jiu.

The Viola have won both their Group E games so far, while Pandurii have a solitary point, but Montella sees a threat from their less illustrious opponents.

"They play better away from home," Montella explained. "They got through to the group stage of the Europa League by winning away. They are a very well balanced side. While they may not have stars they are organised and tough and you can't underestimate any opponent."

After an emotional win like the Juventus triumph that saw Fiorentina fight back from 2-0 down to win 4-2, there is always a risk of falling flat in the next outing but Montella insists the focus is solely on Pandurii.

"We have moved on from the Juve game, it's in the past," he declared. "I hope that the Juventus win won't be our only triumph of the season and that we aren't now satisfied."

Montella is expected to rest several players for tonight's Artemio Franchi match including the hat-trick hero against Juventus, Giuseppe Rossi.

Fiorentina (probable): Neto; Tomovic, Compper, Savic, Alonso; Mati Fernandez, Bakic, Borja Valero; Joaquin, Matos, Cuadrado
