A round up of the key news stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea could move for Wolfsburg wonder kid Julian Brandt.
The Blues are thought to be one of the sides interested in the 17-year-old after his German side said he would be leaving at the end of the current season.
“Julian Brandt has turned down the offer to sign a new contract with VfL Wolfsburg. As he is out of contract at the end of the campaign, Julian Brandt will therefore depart from VfL Wolfsburg,” a Wolfsburg spokesperson told Deutsche Presseagentur.
Torres bagged a brace in Chelsea’s Champions League win earlier this week and is likely to lead the attack against Manchester City this Sunday.
“It’s good for him [Torres] to score goals in the Champions League, so I think it’s good. He must be happy now - I think what will boost him is the confidence I have in him,” said Mourinho.
Chelsea continue to scout Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho according to latest reports.
The Blues have been one of several Premier League sides connected to the Brazilian born Italian and the club are thought to be scouting him on a consistent basis.
However, the 21-year-old has insisted that he’s looking to stay with his current side for at least another season, which is a blow to any side looking to buy him this winter or next summer.
