The Brazilian went from hero to zero in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Manchester City fans were treated to a reminder of the good, the bad and the just plain ugly sides of former fan favourite Robinho, after the Brazilian scored for Milan against Barcelona only to later experience a horror miss up there with the very worst seen in the competition.
The Rossoneri headed into this key home encounter with the Catalans knowing that a win could potentially edge them close to qualification for the knockout stages at the expense of both group rivals Ajax and Celtic.
And things started well enough for Diavolo, with Robinho giving the Italian club the lead after just nine minutes following some fine approach play from compatriot Kaka.
Unfortunately the lead did not last long, with Mr Barcelona himself, Lionel Messi, levelling the scores just 15 minutes later.
That was how it stayed until Robinho was presented with his golden chance to help the Italians to a win in front of the San Siro.
But in a move all too familiar to disgruntled City fans the world over, Robinho bottled his chance at taking the plaudits, fluffling an easy chance to give Milan a crucial lead.
It was sweet justice for Blues fans, many of whom had no doubt had to endure the tantrums and many lacklustre performances from the Brazilian during his spell at the Etihad.
On the flip side the draw also provides some hope to Glasgow giants Celtic, after the Bhoys recorded a much-needed victory over nearest rivals Ajax.
Robinho must now pick himself up and prepare for a weekend encounter away at Parma, while he could next be in Champions League action against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t forget his shooting boots this time.
