Sanchez: Barcelona have learned from AC Milan loss

The Chilean forward has claimed that the Catalan club will not make the same mistake at San Siro again.

Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has admitted that the club have ‘learned’ from last season’s loss to AC Milan.

The Spanish giants were frustrated in the Champions League first leg of the Round of 16 last term and were hit twice at the other end for a 2-0 defeat.

The Chile international though, has insisted that his men won’t make the same mistake against his evening in their group stage clash at San Siro.

“We learned from last year's experience,” he told reporters.

Milan has always shown great heart, it is important to play 90 minutes with great concentration.

“They have great players. Last year they showed that and I love coming to play in Italy again.”

Press reports suggest that that Alexis is manager Tata Martino’s preferred option in attack for tonight alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.

“I have always felt the same. Eager to prove myself in each game. The mentality that I have had since the beginning, playing at 100 per cent, has brought the goal. That is what has changed.

“And I always give my 100 per cent. In Barca there are so many good players, I am ready to play but I do not feel a starter because there is Tello, Pedro

“The criticisms give me more strength. Now I am in a place that I do not want to leave. Playing with Neymar gives me happiness and confidence.”
