A betting preview of tonight’s Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.
Holloway’s side have won just one of their opening seven games, losing the other six and if they want to survive in the division then they need to be picking up maximum points against teams that will be around them come May.
Fulham are one of those teams. There’s every chance of former Spurs boss Jol being the next manager to lose his job given the poor start to the campaign – 7 points from 7 outings – and new owner Shahid Khan not giving him full backing.
Khan is quoted as saying, "Martin is a very experienced coach. He's a good guy. We've gotten off to a start nobody's happy with, whether you're a fan or you're Martin. We want to do better but I'm not the kind of person who's going to act on impulse."
A defeat to one of the three teams below them could see Khan pull the trigger.
Fulham have only lost once in ten meetings at Selhurst Park but that came in their last trip back in 2004, when Andy Johnson and Aki Riihilahti’s goals gave then manager Iain Dowie a priceless three points in their battle for survival.
Palace were outplayed by Swansea in their last home fixture but had previously beaten Sunderland 3-1 and were unfortunate in losing to a dubious Spurs penalty on the opening day. If Holloway starts with the team that finished their last game at Anfield in the 3-1 defeat at Liverpool then I think that Paddy Power’s 7/4 on a home win is worth a pop.
Holloway’s attacking tactics could pay off tonight and Jason Puncheon will benefit by scoring the opening goal and he’s a best price of 12/1 with Paddy Power, Bet365 and BetVictor.
Crystal Palace and Fulham fans, give us your opinions and what you think represents value tonight.
