'The jokes are over' - Arsenal keeper delivers message to Champions League rival

Wojciech Szczesny has sent a message to Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski on Facebook.

Arsenal take on Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, as two of the continent’s most attractive playing styles go head to head in the Champions League.

And you might have noticed a lot of Dortmund/Arsenal related news over the weekend. From Klopp talking about Ozil and the clubs Premier League title chances … to Lewandowski being linked with a move to The Emirates in January.

But one of the more light-hearted stories has to be this post on the official Wojciech Szczesny Facebook page…

Lewandowski will be tasked with beating the Arsenal stopper this week, and the Polish keeper knows that his international compatriot will be one of the bigger threats on Tuesday night.

Szczesny has a reputation for being one of the games more relaxed characters, and can often be seen larking about in training and on social media - so this is no surprise.

Some have, rather desperately, attempted to turn this into a transfer story - when it clearly isn’t.

It is just a warning to his friend and team-mate that The Emirates is no place to travel in Europe at the moment - considering the excellent form that Arsenal find themselves in.

And also a potential challenge for a round of golf if the two get a spare moment.
