Tottenham defeated Aston Villa at Villa Park today, with Andros Townsend the star of a 2-0 triumph - but the man who bagged the second goal would have likely been more relieved by putting the ball in the back of the net.
Roberto Soldado was bought for big money this summer, with the hope of him becoming the clubs new goalscoring machine.
So far, he has not quite lived up to that billing and after a recent dry spell in front of goal some people were beginning to worry whether he was worth the £26 million spent on him - it even cost him his place in the most recent Spain squad.
But his goal against Villa takes his tally at White Hart Lane to a more than respectable five goals from nine games - he would have taken that at the beginning of the season.
And one man who is not surprised is Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.
The personality should also be something of an expert on the subject; I mean he did score 80 goals in 138 games during his three year Spurs career.
And he expressed on Twitter his joy at Soldado ending his goal drought…
Soldado never gave the impression he was unduly worried about his lack of goals. Has the ice in his veins that all top strikers require.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) October 20, 2013
Now time will tell if he can go on to make those five goals, 10, 20 or even 30 for the season.
How many goals do you think Soldado can score this campaign?
