When Arsenal bought Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud last summer, combining that deadly duo with the acquisition of Mesut Ozil this year, they recruited a hat-trick of players all in their mid-to-late 20s and all in their peak years as an athlete.
As mature heads, the three act as a pillar of inspiration for some of the clubs younger footballers such as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Carl Jenkinson and Serge Gnabry.
However, it was not long ago when they themselves were the younger folk, looking up to the elder statesmen in football for guidance, as a poster on Twitter highlighted when he put together a trident of pubescent players prior to their Gunner days.
