The news Arsenal's record signing Mesut Ozil suffered an injury last night was the last thing the club or supporters wanted.
Ozil limped off down the tunnel late on in Germany's 5-3 win in Sweden, and reports in Germany claimed the issue was a 'bruised knee' for the playmaker.
24 hours on there has been no official update as to his condition, with Arsenal set to face Norwich City on Saturday.
Even Ozil himself, usually active on Twitter after games, went quiet, adding to the news blackout.
But late this evening he has posted his first message since the game, one which at first seems innocuous, but perhaps holding a little hint that he may just be alright.
Ozil was posting about his return home to London, and the welcome home gifts he received from his partner to celebrate his birthday which was on Tuesday.
Looking at the picture above, the first since his injury, there are good signs for fans to take:
Firstly he is standing alright, secondly he has no crutches, and thirdly no grimacing on his face.
All basic points perhaps, but it serves to confirm the injury is only likely an impact one and nothing more serious as fans first worried when they heard he was injured.
If we were betting on it, we'd tip Ozil to be in action in some shape or form in the Premier League this weekend.
What do you think? Does he look injured to you?
