Lucas Moura has had only a bit-part role for French champions PSG this season, starting four of nine Ligue 1 games.
In turn his prospects for the Brazil national team have taken a slight dip, not an automatic choice like fellow youngster Oscar of Chelsea.
Brazilian website R7 reported on Tuesday that Moura's agent had been instructed to look at his options, a loan back to Sao Paulo or even a permanent transfer elsewhere.
Lucas was famously pursued by Manchester United shortly before signing for PSG, and the possibility of United renewing was certainly possible if the attacker wanted to move on
He though insists that is not the case, having moved to deny speculation he wants out of the French capital.
Brazilian website GloboEsporte report him today as saying: "It's true, I had several problems and I could not show fully everything I know to do, but I'm fine and I love everything about Paris.
"My father always told me to do things step by step, I will not lose confidence and will try to do better."
It certainly does not sounds like a player keen to move on, even if he has his international prospects at next year's World Cup to bear in mind.
This one is not down to PSG to pick him, it's up to the player to raise his game, and he knows it.
The only way he will be at Old Trafford this season is if the two sides meet in the Champions League.
