A round up of the key news stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.
Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez remains firmly linked with a switch to White Hart Lane.
The number of reports suggesting Tottenham have an interest in the Mexican are growing.
Hernandez has struggled to get regular first team football at Old Trafford and Spurs could go after the dynamic goal poacher leading up to the January transfer window.
Spurs winger Andros Townsend has admitted his shock at representing England twice over the last week.
Townsend was one of the stand out performer as England secured wins over Montenegro and Poland to secure a place at the World Cup in Brazil next summer.
“At the start of the season I could never have dreamed this, playing for my club regularly and getting my first two caps for England. It's been a dream come true really, but I can't let it get to my head, I've got to keep playing well and keep my head down,” he told the press.
The Argentinean forward is keen to secure a place for himself in Argentina’s World Cup squad, stressing the need to change from an Italian style of football quickly.
“English football is much more physical than the Italian game, which is based more on tactics – I know I have to adapt as quickly as possible,” he told Clarin.
