News, views and rumours relating to Chelsea FC in the last 24 hours.

In team news, Chelsea youngster Kevin De Bruyne is ‘fighting hard’ to impress Jose Mourinho and ‘not worried’ by losing favour with the Blues boss.

"I chose to stay [instead of going on loan] and I have no regrets," De Bruyne said.

"I continue to fight hard. My chance will come. I'm really not concerned about finding a solution in January. That we will have to see."

However, young goalkeeping prospect Thibaut Courtois is ‘not interested’ in returning to Chelsea to deputise Petr Cech.

“I want to play, I will not be sitting on the bench," he is quoted as saying.

“At Atletico I feel great and being here allows me to play in the Champions League. I’ve grown a lot at Atletico, especially last season when we won the European Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.”

Meanwhile, a number of Blues stars are on international duty this evening (and this week) for crucial World Cup qualifiers. Here is an outline of who is and could be featuring for whom:

Andre Schurrle (Germany), Frank Lampard and Gary Cahill (England), Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, and Thibaut Courtois (Belgium), Petr Cech (Czech Republic), Branislav Ivanovic (Serbia), Juan Mata (Spain), Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires (Brazil), John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses (Nigeria).

In transfer news, The Guardian reports that Paul Pogba could be available for £40 million if Chelsea want the Juventus and former Manchester United midfielder in January.

The Express, however, takes the angle that Juventus have told Chelsea to ‘forget’ about Pogba by naming their price.

Meanwhile, the Blues’ pursuit of signing Karim Benzema could be boosted by the revelation from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez that the Spanish giants are hopeful of signing Monaco striker Radamel Falcao.

Benzema is unsettled at the Bernabeu and, whilst Liverpool and Arsenal are understood to be interested in the French frontman, his previous relationship with Jose Mourinho could sway his decision towards Stamford Bridge.

In other news, Blues new signing midfielder Willian attended a Jay Z concert with his wife Vanessa.

Finally, Blues defender David Luiz made a ‘fool’ of Neymar in training with Brazil when he nutmegged the Barcelona star.
