Mesut Ozil's birthday had been going so well, scoring Germany's opening goal against Sweden.
The superstar was substituted off for his country in the 82nd minute, the full extent of which is yet to be confirmed- although it is still possible he will be available for Arsenal at the weekend.
It was most likely a precautionary change, with German newspaper Bild confirming on their live game feed that Ozil had suffered a 'bruised knee' and was heading off for treatment.
Goal report he was 'limping' and headed straight down the tunnel after being substituted.
Schalke starlet Julian Drazler took his place for the game's final 10 minutes.
Germany had gone two goals behind in Stockholm, before Ozil made it 2-1 before half-time.
Chelsea's Andre Schurrle scored a second half hat-trick, to see Germany run out 5-3 winners.
Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker was left out, suffering a cold.
Will Arsenal be ok to rest him this weekend with Cazorla back?
