Victor Valdes is all set to depart Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of the season, at the weekend confirming Monaco are an attractive proposition to him.
He had previously been linked with Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea despite their own apparent commitment to the Szczesny and Cech respectively.
Valdes' outgoing means the Spanish gossip columns have been filled with possible new signings, with players belonging to Premier League clubs featuring.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, one which has prominently been featuring the transfer gossip, today put the question out to poll for Barcelona fans to respond - Who do you want in goal next season?
The results of 14,000 fans polled are quite clear already, here is how it stands at time of publication:
Thibaut Courtois (50%)
Marc Andre Ter-Stegen (24%)
David de Gea (12%)
Pepe Reina (6%)
Other: Claudio Bravo (3%), Iker Casillas (2%), Petr Cech (1%), Bernd Leno (1%), Moya (1%), Vicente Guaita (1%), Guzman (1%).
If Barcelona are paying attention to the results of polls like these, it could help add to their determination to pursue Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois, who is impressing once again with Atletico Madrid.
The results are not good news for Pepe Reina, Liverpool's stopper who is on loan at Napoli, even with Pedro, Sergio Busquets and Cesc Fabregas coming out and saying in the last week how welcome the Spanish international would be at the club.
Manchester United's David de Gea is third choice, behind Borussia Moenchengladbach's Marc Andre Ter-Stegen.
Whether Barcelona make this their priority list accordingly will be interesting to see, and a headache United and Chelsea would rather not deal with.
What do you think of the poll results?
