Chelsea are ready to enter a bid for former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this January - after a Juventus director admitted that they could not guarantee the Bianconeri would not keep him if a massive offer came in for the player.
The Blues are now being linked with a £25 million bid for the player, although he is reportedly very happy in Italy.
Another Chelsea player could go in the opposite direction. Kevin De Bruyne has been linked with a move to Juventus in January - although the player’s agent intimated that a move to Wolfsburg was more likely. Read about both stories at the links below…
Oscar scored for Brazil this weekend. The Samba Star has arguably been Chelsea’s best player this season - and continued that form into the international break with Selecao.
He scored the second goal, adding to Neymar’s earlier free-kick to give Brazil a 2-0 win against South Korea.
Chelsea defender Ashley Cole will miss the England qualifier with Poland on Tuesday. The left-back suffered a rib injury against Norwich City before joining up with the England squad, but was not passed fit for the game against Montenegro on Friday.
Leighton Baines came in and performed well, and is likely to play against Poland on Tuesday.
For Cole, his next aim will be to try and recover for Chelsea’s next Premier League game against Cardiff next Saturday.
Chelsea have missed out on Rodney Kongolo. The youngster, tipped as the ‘next Patrick Vieira’ was also linked with Liverpool this summer - but he and his club Feyenoord have agreed a compensation package that will see him make the move to Premier League rivals Manchester City in January.
