Santi Cazorla is said to be desperate to return to action for Arsenal. The Spanish international midfielder has been out of action since picking up an ankle injury in September - and is now seemingly desperate to get back to playing for the Premier League table toppers.
Cazorla has not exactly been missed by Arsenal, who have continued their excellent start to the season.
But that just sees him wanting to get back into the action even sooner, posting a photo of himself on Twitter in the treatment room saying how he was trying to ‘get fit ASAP’.
Cazorla is now hoping to return to action for the October 19th tie against Norwich City.
It is the international break right now, so not much going on at the club - but how have the players been doing on their travels.
Well Nicklas Bendtner was arguably the star of the night. The Danish striker, on his return to action with the Denmark fold, scored a brace against his former Juventus team-mate Gianluigi Buffon, as Denmark drew 2-2 with Italy.
He then got booked for taking his shirt off … some people never learn.
Olivier Giroud scored twice as France battered Australia 6-0 in Paris, his first goal a sublime chip.
And Mesut Ozil completes the round-up. He scored one of Germany’s three goals in the 3-0 win over Republic of Ireland - that qualifies Die Mannschaft for the World Cup in Brazil next summer.
Finally, and Arsenal and Liverpool are both being linked with the signature of Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentine outcast Javier Pastore. The former Palermo playmaker is desperate for first-team football in order to secure a place at the World Cup this summer.
Fenerbahce are also said to be keen on a move for the player - although a Premier League switch is rumoured to be his preference.
