Roy Hodgson has made a bold selection by picking Tottenham winger Andros Townsend for England's World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.
There was plenty of reaction on Twitter when his selection was made public late on Friday afternoon, with many praising the England manager's show of attacking intent.
So what was his thinking behind the choice?
ITV's Gabriel Clarke asked him exactly that prior to kick-off and here is Hodgson's response:
"He's playing very well at the moment. He has a good combination with Kyle Walker at his club.
"He can take the game to the opposition and beat a man and I think hopefully he will show off those skills and we'll need them to score some goals."
Are you feeling positive?
