CONFIRMED: Germany line-up – Schurrle starts instead of Draxler

Germany line-up for tonight’s World Cup qualifier against Ireland. Schurrle starts. Draxler on the bench.

German international manager Jogi Low keeps the last unknown in his line-up as a closely guarded secret as if that changes everything.

Low is not the kind of guy of who likes to tease the media with this but maybe he uses this to motivate his players and keep the tension of German substitutes alive.

This time it was Arsenal and Chelsea target Julian Draxler, Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Max Kruse and Chelsea’s Andre Schurrle from Chelsea who had to wait to the last minute. Now it is clear what the line-up will look like tonight.

It will be interesting to see how Mesut Ozil will play as a true forward.

But make no mistake, Low will most likely substitute and switch the line-up to see Draxler and Kruse play.

Neuer / Lahm, Mertesacker, J. Boateng, Jansen / Khedira, Schweinsteiger / T. Müller, T. Kroos, Schurrle / Ozil

Substitutes‘ bench:

Adler (goal), Zieler (goal), Howedes, Hummels, Westermann, Draxler, M. Gotze, Sam, M. Kruse
