Michu has been superb since he came into the Swansea City side from Rayo Vallecano in the summer of 2012, taking the Premier League by storm with an attractive brand of attacking football.
It wouldn’t have been a surprise to many when he was called up to the Spanish squad by Vicente del Bosque for the latest round of World Cup qualifying matches and he’s not looked at all out of his depth.
In his first training session alongside some of the greatest players in the modern era, Michu produced a superb, precise and lethal finish under pressure from all angles as defenders closed in on him.
His progress is a tribute to the way he’s been managed by Michael Laudrup at the Welsh club and it will be fascinating to see how he gets on this Friday and Tuesday if del Bosque decides to start him.
Take a look.
