Chelsea latest: Blues fans among 'roughest' in England, Michu and Valdes

A report in France has claimed Chelsea are close to signing Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Le10sport claims talks have been held over a pre-contract agreement which could be finalised in January, with the Spaniard a free agent this summer and determined to move abroad for a new challenge.

In terms of cumulative arrests made at football matches, Chelsea supporters are amongst the worst-offending fanbases in the country. That is, according to a report published by The Mirror, which claims 'violence and boozed-up thuggery', were at fault for the majority of the 2,456 arrests last season.

Sticking with the club's supporters and the Daily Mail have issued a breakdown over how the Premier League away day fund initiative is being allocated by each of the participant members of the division. With regards to traveling Blues, Chelsea have: 'Subsidised travel for at least 10 away games this season including long trips to Everton, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Sunderland.'

Onto transfers and Galatasaray president Unal Aysal has opened the door to talks over the sale of Burak Yilmaz, potentially to Chelsea: 'If he wants to go and Chelsea are interested then of course, why not? Chelsea have not made a move yet. We had some requests from Lazio at the end of the summer, but the deal didn't go through because the conditions were not satisfied.'

Michu, meanwhile, has claimed that he is annoying Chelsea's resident Spaniard Juan Mata while the two are on international duty: 'I feel like I am annoying Juan Mata as I am always asking him about the training and the new experience,' he told Swansea’s website.

'Mata is helping me a lot, I know him very well. I can’t describe the feeling when I went into the pitch wearing the shirt of the best team of the world. But it is very easy to play with all these players. The players who are in the squad are the best in the world and they’re at the maximum level.'

Could Mata be explaining to Michu that Chelsea could do with him at Stamford Bridge?
