Today Nike have unveiled their new designs for the 2014 Pro Bowl uniforms. They took over the contract for NFL jerseys last year and have already made some changes to current NFL teams.
The American manufacturer is known for its modern and futuristic uniform designs in College football, most notably the Oregon Ducks, but they have yet to do anything revolutionary in the NFL.
Seattle, Minnesota, Jacksonville and Miami have all had changes to their uniforms over the past year, some more than others it has to be said.
But today NIke turned their attention onto the Pro Bowl, the NFL's annual all star game in Hawaii, and released images of the new uniforms.
They can only be described as futuristic and if the lights go out in Honolulu then, by the looks of them, we may be able to play on in the dark.

This is just part of the strategy to make the Pro Bowl more fan friendly. This year will see a fantasy draft take place which will mean the end for an AFC and NFC team, also a number of rule changes should make it more of a spectacle.
Sadly there will be no kick offs but the NFL has introduced several changes to the game. A coin toss will determine which squad gets the game's opening possession.
The ball will be placed at the 25-yard line at the start of the game and after scoring plays. Since there will be no kickoffs, the kick-return specialist Pro Bowl roster spot will be replaced with an additional defensive back spot.
Pro Bowls over the past few years have been drab affairs with neither side putting in any kind of effort to make it anywhere near watchable.
We will find out on the 26th January if the changes have been successful but for now we'll concentrate on some meaningful.
