Chelsea morning news: Klopp rules out De Bruyne move, Marseille winger would prefer Chelsea move

A round up of the key news stories about Chelsea this morning.

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a move for Chelsea youngster Kevin De Bruyne.

Klopp’s side have been reported as one of the teams potentially interested in signing the young Belgian but the Dortmund boss claims the player is still good enough to play for Chelsea.

“We have brought in several players over the summer and we are very happy with the squad we have available. De Bruyne is not one of the players we follow,” Klopp told the DPA.

Ghana star Andre Ayew says he will only move to either Spanish giants Barcelona or Chelsea.

The winger was linked with a move away from Marseille throughout the summer and several clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in signing him ahead of the January transfer window.

However, he’s revealed that he’s only interested in moving to certain big European clubs with Chelsea one of his preferred destinations.

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole will not play for England on Friday in the World Cup qualifier against Montenegro.

Cole was taken off during the win at Norwich City holding his rubs, with a problem that has affected his breathing.

Cole is also a doubt to play next Tuesday against Poland and is expected to be replaced by Everton’s Leighton Baines for both matches.
